Boxes ticked : balcony big enough to sit out on (plus an enclosed balcony in the kitchen); 3 bedrooms (in a separate corridor to the living area); lovely living room; separate study/2nd sitting room; swimming pool (yep !!!); access to the beach promenade; 10 mins walk from the town centre; next door to a supermarket; very well decorated; and reasonably priced.
Downsides : not at all pretty from the outside - a "silk purse out of a sows ear" according to Paul. Can't think of anything else ! Its unfurnished so we need to buy wardrobes, and some more living room furniture - and we're done.
All this is, of course, subject to agreement, and we could be heading for a fall !! Lets hope not.
So cross your fingers for us everyone.
Look at the smile on the man below. Its been a pretty tense day - but he's like a Cheshire Cat now.
Oh - the other lovely thing today - Caglan's mother came when we were having a lunch break and did my fortune with the kahve (Turkish coffee) cup. She would have done Paul's but he got over-excited with the shaking of the cup and the contents went all over the table.
Mine says :
- We will be very happy in our new life (See the flag)
- I have a long life ahead (think thats' the fishy shape)
- We are a great team
- I have a strong personality and strong character (the elephant shape on the saucer).
Personally the I think last two are pretty obvious - but it was fun anyway.
Off to try some raki now - celebration needed. ( But we didn't do well on the semi-detox today - 3 beers consumed).
Once again - fingers crossed.
